The government's decision to reject mandatory ethnicity pay gap reporting for firms has been criticised as "nonsensical" by MPs.

Conservative MP Caroline Nokes said it also showed a lack of will "to foster a fairer and more equal society".

She chairs a parliamentary committee which has called for pay gap rules to be extended to include race.

But the government has said it does not want to impose any new reporting burdens on business.

Companies with more than 250 employees have been required to publish their gender pay gap statistics since 2017, revealing stark differences at some firms between the amount women and men are paid per hour on average.

Mukaddes Yadigar is a Uyghur entrepreneur who has been living in the UK since 2011.

In London, she has two restaurants devoted to Uyghur cuisine. Every month, she holds events there to celebrate the food, music and dances of her people – to ensure the preservation of their culture.

The Uyghur are a Muslim minority who hail predominantly from the region of Xinjiang, in China.

Human rights organisations accuse the Chinese government of detaining over 1 million Uyghur Muslims and restricting their religious practices. And local activists say China is trying to erase their culture.

Sweden has tolerance for minorities!!!

There is no doubt that Sweden is the by far greatest protecting country with well-formed procedures for the adopted children.

In Sweden, more than 50,000 children have been adopted from all over the world over the past 50 years. Adoption is common in Sweden. The children who found their new family in Sweden have the SAME right and the SAME legal protection, medical care, and some allowance up to 16 year-of-old as well as free schooling up to the university level. THAT MEANS: Sweden has tolerance for minorities!!!

On the other hand, in the case of South Korea, We are in a situation of a Demographic Cliff. Now it is time for South Korea to learn sustainable policies and well-made systems from Sweden.
